Local Authority Funding and Benefits

At ERA Healthcare we understand that you or a loved one will want to stay at home for as long as possible. Some people can claim financial assistance towards the cost of their care depending on their financial status, medical or physical needs. Please see below for more details.

DIRECT PAYMENTS - Direct Payments is a funding option available to customers in their own home to choose and control how their social care needs are met. Customer receive a personal budget for their support and can also be "topped up" using their own funds.

NHS CONTINUING CARE - The NHS may fund a package of care at home rather than addmitting the customer to hospital. They may also fund care to help the customer return home after a stay in hospital.

ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE - Available to individuals aged 65 and over who require help with personal care due to a mental or physical illness.

DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE - For children and adults under the age of 65 who need help with personal care or have walking difficulties because they are physically or mentally disabled.
